Miloslav Katsarov

Miloslav Katsarov is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Sofgeomin Limited and a director of a number of its subsidiaries with overall responsibility for the strategic direction and management of the group. Prior to founding Sofgeomin Ltd., Mr. Katsarov was a Director of Natural Resources and Concessions in Ministry of energy in Republic of Bulgaria. He was responsible for overseeing more than 500 concession contracts for extraction and more than 100 research projects. Annual revenue from concessions is over US $ 50 Million. Before that he was head of the National Geological Survey of Republic of Bulgaria. Gained thirteen years of experience and expertise in the Ministry of Energy. Mr. Katsarov holds a PhD in Geology and Exploration of Minerals and Master’s Degree, Engineer Geologist with a specialty in Prospecting for Minerals (economic geologist). For nine years he taught as an Assistant Professor at University of Mining and Geology “St. Ivan Rilski “, Sofia, Bulgaria. He is currently engaged in research work at the Institute for Nuclear Research and Nuclear Energy at Bulgarian Academy of Sciences as an assistant professor. Mr. Katsarov is a strategic consultant with more than nineteen years of experience and expertise in the mining industry, in particular in the field of exploration and extraction of mineral resources, as well as in concessions and public-private partnerships.
