In 2017 the company completed geological works and prepared a report with reserves of amphibolites in deposit “Acacia”, located within municipality Ivailovgrad, Haskovo district. The deposit consists of rocks belonging to the Chepelare variegated group/suite – complex maffic meta-volcanites. These rocks are amphibolites and amphibole gneiss with green, olive-green, grayish-green to black in fresh surface. The deposit is in the thickest pack of smoothly-foliated amphibolites, which cleave in big plates with large surface. According to their composition they are identical or very similar to the other metavolcanic rocks they accociate with. The amphibolites from deposit “Acacia” are suitable for construction of foundations, external walls with or without stucco coating. These rocks have high durability against the elements and wear and are high-quality building matherial, useful for production of plates from cleaved rocks.
