Geological Exploration Company Sofia Ltd. successfully completed the geological surveys оf “Yellow Peak” deposit in 2017. A commercial discovery was registered as a result of this geological work. The industrial minerals – quartz-feldspar sands in the deposit will be mined in a quarry.
The tests of the sand in the deposit show that the material is suitable for use in production of construction adhesives, filler paints and other coatings because of their characteristics and high quality corresponding to European standards.
The high amount of plagioclase (about 60% of the volume of the psammitic fraction) makes the sand from the deposit “Yellow Peak” suitable for flux additive in the ceramic production, for introduction of aluminum component in the glass production, for fillers in plastics and others.
A team of Sofgeonin Ltd. experts have prepared a feasibility study of the project. It confirms the investment effectiveness for building a quarry and processing plant after granting a mining concession for 35 years.
