In 2018 we successfully completed the geological survey of deposit “Chappel”, located within municipality Ivailovgrad, Haskovo district and prepared geological report with reserves of limestones. The deposit consists of sediments of Paleogene terrigenous-carbonate complex (Upper Eocene). It is part of marl-limestone suite (Ivailovgrad barrier reef), which consists exclusively of organogenic seaweed and coral limestones. The latter are the mineral resource in the deposit. The colour of the limestones is white, pale-gray to yellowish or pale-rusty.
